Outlook 2000 to 2003 questions...

I have about 20 users that have Office 2000 SBE on their computers, & I need
to install Outlook 2003 on them
I bought one copy of Outlook 2003 from as guy on ebay & when I installed, it
gave me the option to upgrade my current Outlook 2000 & all went fine.
In the meantime, I've heard that Outlook 2003 shouldn't upgrade, & that I
would need to uninstall 2000 & install 2003 & import my pst, etc.
On 20 computers, upgrading would be much easier than uninstall 2000 &
install 2003.
Before I buy 19 more from this guy, how can I verify that what I bought is
legit?

Outlook is never "upgraded" since it does not have an upgrade version. You
cannot have 2 versions of Outlook. What it was asking was if you wanted to
use your old pst file for the new install. Your old version of OL was
uninstalled and the new version installed. You cannot use Outlook 2003 with
any other programs from Office 2000. The versions must match to integrate
Word, Excel etc with Outlook. You never "import" pst files. You must Open
them instead. Can't help with the legit part--you have to activate Office
2003 programs or they will stop working in 30 days. Go to Help on the menu in
OL and try to activate. Better to buy the whole suite from a reliable retail
outfit.
