Outlook 2000 takes 75 seconds to open

I just bought a 2.6 mhz pc with WinXP and installed MS
Office 2000 Premium including Outlook 2000.

Now after a bootup it takes Outlook over a minute to load
up. Once it is loaded and on the same boot up cycle it
reopens very fast...but each time I boot up it takes one
minute +.

I can't imagine that this is normal for a new 2.6 mhz pc.

Is there any tweaking I can do to speed this up?

try disabling windows messenger in options/other...take
out the tick.
