Outlook 2000 Systray Notification

C

Chris Longtin

I would like to remove the little envelope appearing in
the systray when a new message arrives (preferably
conditionally remove the little envelope as well based on
a message rule).

I know this is possible in Outlook XP as an option in the
rules wizard (mark message as read). My department will
not be moving to Office XP for a long time yet, so in the
interim is their any way to do this with Outlook 2000?

Any help is much appreciated, thanks.
- Chris (please reply to forum and direct mail to me if
possible)

Thanks for the quick reply Roady, but I do not see an
option to remove the systray notification in that panel.

The option "Show an envelope in the System Tray" is not there?

Unfortunately there is not Roady. I am using Outlook 2000,
are you referring to Outlook 2000?

Thanks again,
