Outlook 2000 Missing Email Accounts Menu Item

Joel Elias

The E-Mail Accounts menu item is missing from my Tools menu. It is also not
available on the list of options for the Tools menu under
Tools|Customize|Commands. I cannot retrieve email from my ISP's server with
Outlook so I must view it using my ISP's webmail option.

I have tried repairing by using the repair feature in the Office 2000
install disk but the repair feature hangs about 2/3rds of the way through
each time I try this.

How can I get Outlook working again?

Suggestions appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Joel

Do you have a Tools > Services in Outlook 2000? If yes, then it means
Outlook is configured in Corporate/Workgroup mode and not Internet Mail Only
mode. You can change modes w/out having to uninstall/reinstall the product,
but it will require access to Office 2000 media. See
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/choosingmode.htm for more information.
