outlook 2000 , lost contacts address book

Up till today when I created a new email I could hit the
drop down to 'contacts' and see my personal contacts
(instead of using the default 'global' list)

Today I found that the contact list is empty. Any ideas
to see if this was accidently moved, possibly by using
the search function with the extension (is it PAB?)

Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated. Using XP client
with outlook 2000 and Server 2000 SMC. thanks

Probably just need to reset the connection between the Outlook Address Book
Service and your Contacts Folder(s).
Go to Tools > Services. Make sure the Outlook Address Book service is
listed. If not, add it. Next, R click on the Contact folder or folders you
want the OAB to display, choose "Properties", go to the Outlook Address Book
tab and check the "Show this folder as an E-mail address book" box. You may
also need to go to Tools > Options > Addressing Tab and choose to show your
Contacts folder.
