Outlook 2000 login issue

I have recently set up a new mail account for a new hire
at a remote office. She uses a pop3 account set up in OL2k
to access her mail. She cannot log in when prompted by
outlook, there is no error message, the login screen just
pops back up. She can, however, log in to Web Access mail
using the same password she has tried with Outlook.
Running Win2k. Any suggestions?

maybe its not the password..maybe she's using the wrong user name. my
brother-in-law has to add some characters to his user name when
logging in to check his mail via OL2k than when he logs in on the
website. have her check to be sure she is using the correct user id
for pop access.

I suspect you need to include the Exchange domain in the username. For
example, when I use OWA, i can log in with

username

but when I use other connection methods, I specifiy:

exchangedomain\username

in order to log in.
