Outlook 2000 is extremely slow and keeps crashing

This problem has been going on a few days while I've been
trying to sort it out. Basically Outlook is very slow and
often just freezes and caused the whole PC to slow down
and bahave badly.

I've checked for viruses etc it's clean. Also we've
carried out a scanpst and found no problems. Does anyone
know a way to sort this out before I trey uninstalling and
reinstalling?
 
are you trying to connect to an exchange server remotely?
if yes
give www.seasidesw.com a try

its making the access to exchange faster , more secure with an SSL
connection , and even let you carry your exchange account on a tiny USB disk
on key.... amazing
 
No exchange server just stand alone it has worked ok but
now it's slow and freezes
