Outlook 2000 hangs on openening calendar when new mail arrives

When I try opening someone elses calendar within our domain, Outlook hangs
when I receive a new email at the same time.
I can reproduce this on other pc's and with different user names.

We had a similar issue at our offices...
Needed to delete all shared calendars, disactivate outlook cached mode and
to clean the local caches ("c:\documents and settings\username\local
settings\application data\microsoft\outlook" and "c:\documents and
settings\username\application data\microsoft\outlook") ,restart outlook, then
reconnect to the shared calendars and things were alright again.

Just did not quit understand what you mean by 'delete all shared calendars'.
Where do I delete them?

To be a little more specific: I do not open the calendar by using the list
of names of calendars I opened before, but by choosing File-Open - and then
someting like 'someone elses file' (don't nknow, don't have the English
version).
