Outlook 2000 error trying to open

I have not been able to open Outlook successfully for awhile now. When I try
to open I get the message " MS has encountered a problem and needs to close".

The error code is 0xc0000005
Record is 0x0...
Address is 0x0..0110369f

I have gone through the Repair and reinstall options off of my CD. Both
completed successfully, however the problem still exists. It appears that the
only other option i have is to delete and re-install. Any suggestions? Thanks.
 
Assuming you are working with a POP3/IMAP account, I would run the Inbox
Repair Tool (scanpst.exe) against your PST file(s).

PS - make a copy of them first.

PSS - the 0xc0000005 means a generic access denied by the way.
