outlook 2000 does not work

I just installed Micrsoft Office 2007 Home and Student which does not come
with Outlook. Now my Outlook 2000 does not work and I somehow have Outlook
2003 on the computer as well. I have never purchased or istalled a 2003
product. I followed the instructions to remove the Outlook 2003 as I did not
have a product key to activate it. Now Outlook 2000 doesn't work at all. I
open it an get message saying "operation failed" I can't access my email or
my contacts. How can I resotre this and how did 2003 get on my computer?

I would recommend creating a new profile:

Once the new profile is created, use File > Open and navigate to your PST to
open it.

As for how Outlook 2003 was installed on your computer, I really couldn't say.

I would recommend creating a new profile:

Since the OP is using Outlook 2000, chances are that it's in Internet Mail
Only mode and hence the ability to create a new profile doesn't exist in the
Mail applet.
