Outlook 2000 Customise Outlook Today button not working

When I click on my "Customise Outlook Today" button (top right of Outlook
Today window) nothing happens. I am using Outlook 2000 SP3.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, Ken Bailey asked:

I have made the changes identified by the regedit process, but no luck. Any
other suggestions? Thank you.
