Outlook 2000 contacts to Windows Mail

My PC is currently running Vista Ultra 64bit, Patch 1.

I would like to know if there is any way to have my archived Outlook 2000
created PST files be accessed
so that I can have my contact list from Outlook 2000, imported into Windows
Mail ??

If not, is there any other email client, like Thunderbird for example that
could handle my PST file contact list ?

I also have that contact list in the Contacts list on my Palm Tungsten T3,
where it exports easily enough.
I have the feelings that Windows Mail is not very "friendly" when it comes
to importing from other systems.

I already purchase a utility that could read all of the emails from my
Outlook 2000 (32 bit) - XP, PST files so
that I can get to my emails to read and print them. That was essential for
me.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jon

If the PC on which Outlook is functioning is still available export/import
the data to Outlook Express, then transfer the Express data to the Vista PC,
and connect the old OE data to Mail

Other than that Outlook has to be installed on the same PC as Mail in order
to export/import from one to the other. And of course OL2k is not compatible
with Vista so you may have trouble setting it up.
