outlook 2000 causes crash in XP r1

this was long in figuring out - but here goes:
when I click on the outlook 2000 icon - the sytem crashes
BSOD. BUT if i eliminate the entry in the prefetch that is
outlook.exe, then it all works just fine.

Doesn't crash everytime, but when it does I can duplicate
the solution every time. So how do I control what goes
into prefetch? And why do you think this happens?

Maybe it's time to repair Outlook. Go to Microsoft Help
and Support (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx)
and search the Knowledge Base for "Repairing Outlook".
