Hello!

It seems that this is an age old query which is avoided at all costs. I am trying to disable the BCC field in Outlook 2000 and I seem to be getting nowhere. Can anybody shed some light on why I cannot lock this down properly via group policy? Perhaps somebody knows of a registry tweak, resource editor or perhaps even a 3rd party app I can use to do this?

I understand that BCC is part of the protocol, and cannot be effectively disabled, but surely, I can restrict it's use within my organisation??!!

Please help!

Hi Mark

I can't help you with your query but I just wondered why you would want to disable BCC - I don't use it very often but it is handy when copying someone into an email where you want that fact to be on a 'needs to know' basis.

Sorry if I am being a tad nosey here!

Kind regards

Hi Gabriella,

It is an instruction from my boss, so who am I to question? I think the BCC field is being abused in the company.

Thanks anyway!
