Outlook 2000 attachments

I am using outlook 2000 prem SP3 and I am unable to open most attachments that Outlook deems dangerous. I know I can can tweak the following regitry key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Outlook\Security\Level1Remove" But this is a pain. Is there an update or a utility that I can use to select which atachments I want sent through without editing the registry
