outlook 2000 and replies problem

M

Michael Morris

I know this has probably been asked but I cannot seem to locate the answer.
Here is the situtation:

I have Outlook 2000 with 3 internet email accounts. I have designated one
account as the default account.

Acct 1
Acct 2
Acct 3 - default

when email is received through acct 1 and the reply is composed the reply is
sent out through the same account that the original message was sent from.
This is the problem. Since I receive email from two different ISPs I cannot
send via ISP1 when logged into ISP2 or vise versa.

How can I set Outlook to send all email, replies included, through the
default account?

Any help would be appriciated.

Thanks
Michael

I do not think you can. The ISP that you are currently logged into wil
be your outgoing mail server conduit, as I understand it. You have t
manually change to the account that you want to send from, unde
options button when in creating a new email, which email account t
send from.

This is how mine works, and I have 2 pop3 emails and one .biz, vi

I thought that was probably the case. I have also though about this.
Changing the outgoing email server on all the accounts to the only one that
will work on that ISP from that machine.

I think this may be a better work around for what I want to do.

Thanks
Michael
