Outlok 2007 remover category -Mails go missing

Hi,
Have Outlook 2007. A mail came in labeled "RED CATEGORY". When I removed the
category the mail disappeared although I had a rule to move mails from that
person to it's own folder. I cannot find the message anywhere...
How do I get the message back?
