Outllook Focus

MRL-MO

When I switch back and forth between inbox and contacts, or any other
folders for that matter, 2002 Outlook loses focus. I have to press the F6
key for it to highlight an entry. This never happened on any other version
of Outlook I've used. This has been an ongoing issue since it was released.
There have been service packs and none have fixed this annoyiong bug. Do
you think this will ever be repaired? Also, does the latest version of
Outlook, 2003, exhibit the same behavior. Please advise. Thanks.

I've seen this in versions of Outlook going back to at last 2000 and forward
to 2003. Never seen an explanation why.

Hi,

The problem you described annoyed me for some time. It appears that it
happens due to the reminders pop-up window getting focus due to an
appointment or a task reminder activated. You will see that reminders in the
task bar has the focus.

If you open the reminders and switch back to Outlook all should be fine.

Hi again,

Clearing the Instant Messaging support in Outlook from Options Other also
helped.
