Outllook 2002 freezes system

When I go to download email outlook 2002 freeezes my computer up after
saying it is downloading 3 or 846 messages. (This started mid june about Ive
been busy). I have win xp, 512 meg ram 120 g hd space (40 and 80). I
deleted old messages (I had 10s of thousands). Still no good. Help please!
 
Try disabling your anti-virus or updating your anti-virus.
This is simply your antivirus protecting you from a
harmful attachment.
