outllok 2003 sharing contacts, calendar and task

I used to be able to share contacts, calendar and tasks in outlook 2000 using net folders. Now recently upgraded to office 2003, and to my bad sorprise, I can't share those three lists any more. Research only show: " It requires exchange server". That is bad. Why microsoft is doing something like that? Anyways, if anybody can advise on how can I accomplish his, I will be grateful.

Net folders are gone in Outlook 2003. They were buggy for a lot of people.
