outline view

Hi, I'm having a bit of a hard time with outline view: even if entire
outline is "collpased" (can see only title slides, not content), when
I copy outline (to copy to a word file, for example), it copies entire
outline, with the content of the slides, same thing when I print
outline view, even if outline is collapsed, it prints entire outline,
with the content of the slides, not just the titles, which is what I
need..

(by the way, is there a more efficient way to convert a PP outline
view (collapsed) to a word file? what we do now is copy outline to a
word file then convert that to a table..)

would very much appreciate e-mail response ([email protected], or
(e-mail address removed)), only have access to usenet at work thru
google, and their web interface is really not good.. (not when you're
used to using a newsreader..) thank you very much.. Frances

Which version of PPT?

When I look at the Print Preview of a collapsed outline view here in PPT
2002, it sure looks as if it will print only the titles.

Seems to work that way when copying the collapsed stuff from the outline
pane in PPT to a Word document as well.

this is in response to post by Robert Lerner, where it says:

"Headlines", or titles that are underlined in the Outline means it is
collapsed. Right-click the slide in the Outline and choose Expand.
Better
yet, select all the slides and expand.

(google interface sucks.. don't see "post a follow-up to this
message" link at the bottom of article I want to respond to..)

if you collapse entire outline, why are only some slides collapsed?
in my presentation, all text in all slides is in placeholders, yet
when I collapse all slides still if I copy outline to a word file it
copies some slides with entire contents, others with only titles, no
content, why is that? thank you..

Frances
