Outline View: Remember which headings are expanded

I love using Outline View. I can descend to any depth of detail when
organizing things. However, I would like for the document to remember
exactly which headings are expanded, and which are collapsed. When I
close the document, then open it again, I would like the same
expansions. Is there a way to do this?

1. right click on blanck space in anywhere in Words
2. click on Fonts.
you will see three tabs, Fonts,Cherectar spacing, Text Effects
3. you can set the setting through option present there,
when you finish these settings
4. Lastly click on (default) button . present left botton on that window
or just pess 'D' button then click ok or press enter

Arbab,

I'm not sure if I was unclear in my original post. I am not trying to
format fonts. I would like the document to remember which Outline
View headings are collapsed and which are expanded so that I can close
the document and get the same headings expanded/collapsed when I
reopen the document. Am I missing something in your reponse?

The thing is, there is no one specific heading level that I want the
entire document to open to. Some sections will have upto level 2,
other parts will have opened up to level 5. I just want it to remain
the same when I reopen the document. I don't think a macro would
help because the document is evolving, and which headings are
collapse will not be constant. I just need it to be remembered
between closing the document and re-opening it.

You can probably (I'm not using  W2000 & can't test it, but it works inW2007)
record a macro and assign it to a toolbar or keyboard shortcut.  If youwant
it to set the level automatically on document open, you can probably put the
code into an auto open macro.  (Others will have to help you with that.)

I neglected to mention that I am using Word 2000, Windows 2000.
