Hi there,

is it possible to outline a font in Powerpoint?

I use white as the colour and need to outline it with a thin black line.

The best appearing outlined text would be thru Word Art, which allows you to
select the outline width and color. However, the text editing and length of
the text string is sometimes restrictive.

An alternate method is to use both shadowing types. Format -> Font ->
Shadow will cast a white, black or grey shadow (depending on the background)
down and right. Use the Shadow tool (drawing toolbar) to create a shadow up
and left, using the same color as the font shadow and the letters will look
outlined.

Post back if you need additional instructions or have difficulty locating
the different shadow options.

Thanx Bill.

It's a pitty that there's no other work-round. When going the suggested
route, one looses all the functionality and formatting of PowerPoint.

Seems to me I just have to use another colour for my fonts.

Thanx for your help.
