Outgoing read receipt stuck because no mail server - please help.

I received an email with a read receipt. I clicked "OK" but the email came
from an accout where I can not send messages. Now Outlook keeps giving
errors "mail server not available", but there's nothing in Outbox that I
dcan delete. How can I get rid of the unsendable read receipt?

Two choices: modify the account trying to send the receipt so that it uses
an SMTP server you're allowed to use. Alternatively, see this:
