I need to learn how to turn on the pop-up box that shows the # of e-mails
being send (and then the number being received), the server(s) being used,
etc. when you push the send/receive button on Outlook's e-mail screen.
Somebody checked the "hide" box on that pop-up, and now there is just a note
that pops up in the lower right corner of my Outlook screen that says "Mail
delivery complete" and two rotating envelopes to indicate that mail is being
sent. I need the additional data provided by the pop-up box. I have tried
clicking on the down arrow next to the notification that comes up in the
lower right corner, but nothing happens. Any suggestions??

Sandys,

If you are confident of regedit plese use the below method to retrieve the
send/receive button.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Outlook\Options\Mail\Always
hide dialog

The entry under always hide dialog would be 1 in your case, change the value
to 0 and exit regedit and restart outlook.

Let me know if it works.

I see HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Outlook\Options\Backup
but not
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Outlook\Options\Mail\Always

How can I enable/disable the pop-up window?
