Outbox keeps sending emails

I've got a strange problem happening in 2007 and don't recall ever
seeing this in 2003. I sometimes get dozens of the same messages from
our server as if Outlook cannot delete the message properly off the
server using POP. I have to manually delete on occasion and now set
everything to be deleted off the server after I retrieve (I used to
have it set to delete after 2 days.)

Even worse is the latest regarding sending. I can no longer send mail
from any account except hotmail using pop. The rest of my accounts
have suddenly started to stick in my outbox and send themselves over
and over each time I send/receive email. This results in multiple
sends until I physically delete the message from the outbox (it never
shows up in the sent mail folder.) I've looked for answers for 2007
and don't seem to have any as of yet. Any explanations for these
anomalies?

I guess there is one. Avoid Office 2007 like Vista. I didn't listen
and saw some of the benefits of upgrading. But what I have learned is
that 2003 works and well it does, as does XP. I also know where
everything is located and it is usually a click or two away. Not the
case with Office 2007. A plague on all of us. Time to deinstall and
run 2003. At least send/receive will work properly.

did you upgrade or make a new profile? If upgrade, try a new profile. Also,
if you are using antispam or antivirus scanners on your email, disable them.
Make sure outlook is not checking mail more often that every 8 - 10 minutes.
