Hi,

When I resume from "standby" after an hour or so, I get a
screen that says, "Out of range." It's just a blue box in
the center of a black screen.

And, I get a screen asking me to log in again if I resume
from standby after less than an hour. I don't have XP set
up for a password; it's just me using the 'puter.

1) How do I fix the "Out Of Range" problem

2) How do I stop the 'puter from always asking me to login
again?

OS: WXP PRO, SP1a
MEM: 1Gb

Thanks in advance.
Sincerely,
Chris

Change your monitor refresh rate and see if that helps. Use only a rate it
can support, Usually like 70-90 hertz.

again?

Right click desktop, properties, screen saver tab, uncheck: on resume
password protect or on resume display welcome screen.
