Out of Office using IMAP

I've made Out of Office work with my IMAP set-up, using an Outlook Template
and a Rule. However, it only sends the auto reply when I have the PC
switched on and Outlook running.....however, if I was away on a fortnight's
holiday I wouldn't have the PC switched on. Any ideas please?

Login to your web based client of your IMAP account and see if it also
offers "away" notifications. Private accounts at an ISP usually have this
option called "vacation message".

Thanks, I've done that and I see the option. I'll test it later. Thanks for
your help.
If this option wasn't available, is there a technical workaround or do you
really have to leave Outlook open for it to bounce back the auto reply?

Yes, you do, since it is Outlook that must send the away messages. It can't
send anything if it's not running.
