Out of Office Reply

The reply only responds to an email message sent internally. These senders
happen to be in the Global address book. It does not send a reply to any
other senders. I'm on an Exchange Server. Is the reply set to respond only to
contacts in the Global address book? Or do I have to enable the Automatic
replying/forwarding option in Exchange in order for this to respond to any
senders message?

By secure default it will only send internal. You have to enable it on
Exchange but there is actually a separate option for OOF messages;
