I have an end user that is on maternity leave. She has
the capability to work from home. Outlook is setup with
an Out of Office greeting. However, this end user wants
to be able to open Outlook and work in Outlook all day
long and still have the Out of Office greeting send
replies to all incoming messages. It is my understanding
the the Out of Office Assistant only works when Outlook
is closed. Once it is opened, you have to option to turn
off the rule, but when Outlook is opened the greeting
will not run. Can anyone help?

Hello,

Couldn't you just create a rule wizard and use the out of
office assistant both in combination. The out of office
assistant will work while she is not there and the rule
wizard will work while she is there.

Here is the format I would use:
Apply this rule after the message arives where my name is
in the To box reply using a specific template.

Then all you have to do is create the specific template
with your reply.
