I use Oubliette (I have version 1.9); it's sort of nice for a freebie. It
does have password protection and is fairly easy to use and understand.
I've never used Password Safe, so I can't speak for it.
I do have another freebie called Whisper 32
(
http://www.ivory.org/whisper.html). It's also password protectable.
Dare I mention that the best one I have I bought a few years ago for $20.00
called (would you believe it?) Password Manager. It's the best one but not a
freebie. (
http://www.passwordmanager.net/).
