I installed a new program and the spell checker does not work with it.
Everytime I try to spell check my entries in the program, a journal, I get an
error message and the programs shuts itself down.

The company for the program insists that the error message I am getting
means that the reason it does not work is because my "Word Clipboard" is
being used by another program, thus, not allowing my new progam to access the
spell checker. ??? (Frankly, I don't understand what the clipboard has to do
with the spell checker anyway... but maybe it does)

The Mfg insists it is not a problem with their software but the problem
should be able to be corrected by "reconfiguring the options of the external
software (Microsoft Word). Alternatively, this situation may be avoided by
ensuring that the clipboard is not in use by any other software while using
the "Spell-Check" feature..." of the program I am using.

I am not quite sure I understand how I can "turn off" the clipboard, or even
figure out what progam has it running, in order to allow my new software to
access it. ??? I have already checked to make sure the clipboard is empty in
all the applications I have ... Microsoft Word, Excel and Publisher.

I am totally stumped! ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

The supplier is having you on: this is pure BS. The whole point of the
clipboard is that multiple applications share it. While it would of course
be possible to write an application that required exclusive use of the
clipboard, it would be incompetent and irresponsible (to say the least!) to
do so.

Demand your money back.
