Other ways to record sounds??

W

Wayne B.

I can't figure this question being answered in any
other newsgroup so I chose this one.
Is there anyway to record internal sounds that comes from
a computer. The only way that I know how to record
anything is plugging a mic in the sound card. I want to
record different assorted sounds to make them .wav files.

Anyway of doing this that I don't know about??

Appreciate any feedback. THANX N ADVANCE Wayne B.

Depending on how good your sound card is, you have the choice in Volume
Control (found in Accessories->Entertainment) of selecting a different sound
source for recording.
First you have to select Options->Properties and select Recording. Then you
can select different volume controls. Chose the volume control that you want
to record and click OK. Good soundcards offer something like Record Master
to record from all sources playing through the sound card.
Once you have clicked OK, you can select the source you want to record and
ajust its volume settings.
Some soundcards that don't have a Record Master will allow you to select
multiple recodring sources instead.
