Other User's Offline Files

We have been having issues with Offline Files with some of our users. The
offline files of one user get synchoronized on logoff when another user logs
off. We tried deleting the offline files of the offending user from the
Offline Files Folder, but they keep coming back. We tried updating Windows XP
with all the latest patches, but it still do it. Do only solution we can come
up with is turning off sychronization, but we need it turn on for laptop
users. Has anyone else encountered this issue. If so, how did you fix it
without turning off Offline Files?
