OT: Video download

This is not exactly an XP question....

I don't enable script and don't want/have Flash installed.

I do sometimes want to download videos where a link
to the file is not provided.

I can download from YouTube using Download Helper
in Firefox, but in searching for a general downloader
I haven't found anything. There seem to be a number of
programs that will save a playing video, but I'm looking
for something that will just find the actual URL from any
site. A couple of examples: vimeo.com and National
Geographic. There seem to be a number of ways that
the streaming connection is set up, and Download Helper
only handles one of those ways. (Even the download-
while-streaming software that I've found seems to be
expensive and/or sleazy. I don't want a browser plugin,
adware, nagware, etc.)

There aren't many programs, least of all free, that can do both: locate a
certain streaming video *and* download it. For download programs you can
have a look here:

Only RealPlayer and it Video download plug-in for IE will do that,

Download Helper is a plug-in for Firefox,
and you say that you don't want a browser plug-in,
Nor do you want to download YouTube Video ...

As you look for a new YouTube Video on IE,
with RealPlayer Video download plug-in,
you can download 100 videos,
form YouTube at the same time........

And Yes Firefox is not a XP question,
But Internet Explorer Browser is,
so go Microsoft and see the Real Would from the Clouds...
