OT: OLD UPDATE ??? kb933360

Ron,

I know what it is and what it does.
I checked my Add/Remove Programs before I posted, it's not there.

My question is why am I being offered this NOW, TODAY, instead of last Patch
Tuesday, or just after August 1st when it was released?

Have other people had this offered earlier?
Was it considered lower priority before today?

Tim

I think I found the answer to my question,

When it first came out on August 1st it was only available to people willing
to jump thru the MS Windows Genuine Advantage hoop:

I guess they have decided it's important enough to give to everybody!!!

/sarcasm on/
"Thanks MS !!!"
/sarcasm off/

I've already Validated my machine, STOP asking me to do it AGAIN and AGAIN.
I want what I'm entitled to, nothing more, nothing less.

I got these updates too. KB933360 is about changes made on Daylight Saving
Time.
An earlier Update of DST is still kept in the Software/Update list. No
problem at all here.

the update is in my history folder but my WU is asking to install it again.
Maybe there was a change to it?
I saw this same thing on all 6 computers that I run xp on

I'm not sure. If there's a revision, the KB should show it. I had thought
that the change was simply that they raised the priority, so that it would
get on more machines.

true but if you have it already then WU yellow shield updater should not
show it at all, nor the windows update site
especially if it is sitting in the history
