OT- Just got back from MDC

Well, I just returned from San Fran after 4 killer days in San Fran at MDC.
I can't believe I was away from the NG for 4 whole days ;-). Anyway, Speech
was a big focus of the conference and MS Speech Server is too cool for
words. It's occupied all of my free time since I've seen it. Anyway, not
sure if anyone/everyone is using Sql Server 2000 Reporting services, but if
not, go download it. I'm a pretty loyal Crystal Reports user, but MS hit
the ball out of the park with RS and I have to say, the more I learn it, the
more I think Crystal is vastly inferior to it.

Anyone else out there using it? If so, what do you think? Obviously I'm
pretty positive on it but I just recently heard of it and I was leary of
using it b/c Crystal did the job. If you've used both, what do you think?

Cheers,

Bill

Miha:

When are you leaving for the Summit? I'll zing you an email privately with
my travel info, but I'm getting in saturday morning and we definitely have
to get together while your we're there.

BTW, how much are you playing with ADO.NET 2.0? I'm still stumbling through
it although I'm slowly starting to get the hang of it. Seeing some demos
though made me really want to turn up the tempo on learning it. SQL Server
CE is now going to support more than one connection, show execution plans,
report stats etc... On a PDA for God sakes! I can't wait to see a full
demo of the full framework functionality.
