OT Is my hotspot failing?

I've already ordered a newer version, so this is mostly academic,
but...

Here is a screen capture of its connection statistics.

My uneducated guess is that the "TX Power 6 dBm" is low. I've been
having all sorts of problems with it (whatever "it" is). The problem
seems to be the hotspot.

The newer hotspot has no LCD display. Knowing something about
electronics, I think that's a good idea. The LCD display is a waste
of battery power and space, and it complicates the electronics, and
it makes the thing less durable. Besides that, it's not really even
functional. You can access the device from a computer, but you cannot
change anything from the device itself.

Thanks.

It could well be that somebody recently built a metal obstruction--the worse case would be a de facto Faraday Cage--in-between your PC and the hotspot. But you'll find out one way or the other when the new version shows up. Keep us posted.
