OT: HP Deskjet 3650

Hi

I was wondering if anyone knew how I can decieve my HP deskjet 3650 printer
into thinking there is a new cartridge installed, after I just filled the
colour, and black cartridges with one of those refill kits?

I believe you can cover some or one of the contacts on the cartridge...maybe
there is another option?
Anyway, hopefully some of you may have a similar set up, or have a link to a
*how to* and guide me in the right direction.

Hi, this may seem obvious but is there a way to have the printer not inform
you of the empty tank in the properties somewhere?
You might also try posting to these newsgroups
microsoft.public.windowsxp.print_fax
comp.periphs.printers

Hi Karl

Unfortunately I couldn't access *microsoft.public.windowsxp.print_fax
comp.periphs.printers* on *news.btinternet.coms newsgroups*
I've also scrutinised the hp desktop 3600 series properties tabs, and can't
see anything
to turn off tank levels info anywhere.

I googled and found a tip, where you can cover some of the contacts on the
cartridge and this then fools the printer into believing it's a new
cartridge, this worked on the black cart but not the colour though. I was
going to post it in this message but for the life of me, I can't find it !!

I am actually glad to see someone refill an HP cartridge without them
leaking. I have tried <several brands> many times to refill the cartridges
following the instructions religiously and they ALWAYS leak.
