OT: Handheld LCD DVB tv that takes 4xAA instead of internal rechargeable battery.

Pleeez Heeeeelp,

....have been Googling for hours and rummaging through countless sites trying
to find a specfic spec. 3.5" or slightly bigger handheld LCD FreeView (DVB-T
...UK ?)
....and thought I spotted one that takes 4xAA's instead of the usual internal
rechargeable battery that only lasts for about 3 hours per charge.
....it also had an antennae input via an adaptor lead, which would allow me
plug a a battery powered + signal boosted portable antennae into it.

....I have an Aunty who's only in her early fifties | over 10 years really
ill with Parkinsons | last year was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to
have the the malignant tissue removed, and has been on the up chemo-therapy
+ hellishly strong intravenus anti-biotics that caused delerium, ...on and
off for the past few months to try and kill a bone infection in her foot +
an operation to remove a piece of bone in the foot ...all to do with
Parkinsons etc.
i.e. she's been to hell and back, goodness how many times, esp. during the
past 6 months, and is still in hospital.

....anyhow, a couple of weeks ago she asked me to find her a handheld LCD tv
so I bought a 4" LCD screen Hyundai slim thing with DVB-tuner in it, (and
even though her hospital bed is by a window, (btw current hospital does not
have the swinging arm tv/phone etc.)), ...not enough signal for it to work,
and no plug hole to feed in an external ariel signal, and the nurses
couldn't even plug it in to charge it up because of "Health & Safety"
regulations - it would have to have had an, "electrical safety" label stuck
on it by the hospital electrician if I'd left it there but, seeing as there
was not enough signal, I've sent it back to vendor !

Anyhow, earlier on I'm SURE that I spotted a handheld 3.5" LCD tv, with an
ariel input, that takes 4xAAs', and I was SURE that I added the web address
to IE7 Favourites folder I made called "LCD tv's" ...and now I can't b****y
well find it i.e. it's on none of the web addresses I added in there.

....Asuka ..Nikkai ...SIL ....August ...so many names, ..have been wading
through them for HOURS ...for days ...and they all seem to have an internal
rechargeable battery.
I soooooooooooo don't know why I can't find that one I'm sure I say a couple
of hours ago !
If anyone could help me find such an LCD tv, it would be sooooooo helpful.

TIA

regards, Richard

I suggest getting an aluminum lined hat with antennae on it and make sure
it's battery powered. Point the antennae upwards to the sky so you can
receive signals from space.

Make sure her medical insurance is up to date. Also, give her fatty meats 3
times a day and plenty of Vodka. This will help with her recovery.

Make sure you eat plenty of Cheese before visiting her. Try to visit at
least twice a week.

I would have sent it back to the Vendor right away. Include the receipt and
ask for double your money back.

Never input AA's. Always slide them.

If you want to find an LCD, I suggest going to a mental facility with
doctors who can help you. They have LCD's in the institution. Ask the
nurse.
