Totally off topic but since there are so many gurus gathered in one spot (here)...

Any db gurus remember flat file db's that can help me with a simple problem converting/merging/concatinating fields?? either prior to importing to Access or in Access once imported.

More info if ya email me...remove the obvious from addr below.

tnx...

Hi Crash,

All of that can be accomplished using the Access Import functionality.

I can concatinate text fields during import? Ok...gonna give it a shot...I was trying to do it with Excel as an intermediary - maybe that was dumb.

Basically need to turn many little fields into a few larger Note or Memo fields in Access without losing continuity of the sentences the old fields formed...if that makes sense.

As you can see I'm off on an Access tangent today ;-)

this guy seems to be:

I've had a few dealings with him and found him to be both fair and honest.
