Oh ok, I'm running the 9800Pro, maybe a hardware difference somewhere
along the line. Interesting though.

Ah yes, Megagames.com rocks usually as well. :) And for the VERY
elusive games, http://go.to/gamefix.

Maybe with the 4.6's I hear are in beta now they'll get the problem
fixed.

One can only hope. The 4.5's run fine on my R9800Pro also,
not that I get to use it much; The kid is usually on it playing online
games.

Luck;

No I disagree with you.

I don't believe John Carmack or anybody else is saying that FX cards are
better for doom just because they have been bribed.

I believe John has tested cards from ATI and NVidia :)

Or maybe he is just pissed at ATI for leaking beta or so.

Anyway... if the developer says: FX is better for doom III then I will
believe that as long as somebody else proves otherwise.

I seen no reason to doubt the developer... he must know best :D

Personally I like NVidia and their drivers because at least they work and
display everything correctly... I have seen radeon 9000 **** up too many
times.

:p

Bye,
Skybuck.

Well since doom is a gl based game it's only natural that an nvidia
card would be the best choice to run it.
The uber radeons are great cards, I've had a 9800xt for a while and
even though ati's gl performance is good it is not as good as nvidia.

However D3D performace is a completely different story...

You won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country."

The advertisements help fund game development so let them have it afaic...
I just hope the genral public doesn't get too confused and support trash so
much it hurts the healthy competition we have now.

I find it annoying. We have already bought the game, why should we be have
to endure any kind of hard sell.
What next after each level, a coffee add plays?,
