I have no idea where else to post this query.

I have a company proprietory program,
with my requirements served by a "run time program"
On upgrading to XP
I will be using some floppies to install, the floppies
are only useable once, when I presume something is written
to the disk, to prevent re-use.

Is there any specific nomenclature for this type of disk?

Thanks.

Copy protection.

Thanks Bob,
I thought that alluded to
the allowance to run a disk anytime
without the ability to copy.
These floppies die after the first
installation.
However, I accept your suggestion.

That's a generic term. There were some that held a counter, that would
decrement on an install and increment on an uninstall. There were others
that would need to remain in the drive while the program was in use.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Rodney.
