I found a few messages at DSL reports about Charter's bandwidth, but I
haven't found any Usenet groups. Anyone know of a discussing bout the
cap on Usenet?

Anyway.......Charter called and said I was over my limit this month.
The girl said that the limit on my service was 100 G per month. I
told her that I had been sampling lots of 1080P content. She said
that an average size movie was 1.5G and the average size 1080P movie
was 8G.

So using her figures, if you want to watch a 1080P movie once a day,
you are over the limit by a factor of 2.4. 30*8 = 240. So for a
household of 1, one movie every other day is too much for Charter.

ATT here I come. It is a shame too. I always though Charter had
great service.

BTW, I would love to find a Usenet group where this would be on topic,
but because Google Groups is FUBAR, forgive the post. Google another
excellent service down the tube. I would be grateful if you could
post me to an on topic group.

If you are in AT&T Southeast (former Bellsouth), supposedly they will
implement a 150 GB cap in May of this year. Frying pan ... fire.

Do you have a link for that? I asked point blank if they had a cap
and the guy said no.

Thanks for the link. Usenet should be talking about this somewhere.

Now that you have reminded me, there are two 'alt.online-service' groups
tangentially related to AT&T Yahoo! HSI: 'pacbell' and 'att-worldnet. I
posted to those two; wondering if I should also have hit,
'alt.online-service.prodigy'.
