[OT]: Carch

Here's what you need to do. Go to start,
run type cmd. Then type format c:
and you should be all set.

This person is a liability, especially since s/he is posting on this server.
It's one thing to kill-file this user, but it's another thing entirely when
real users with actual issues are trying to resolve actual problems, and
this idiot replies to everything as if the statement is on his/her
clipboard.

I know this is not the proper place to ask, but this user needs to be
IP-banned, and I'm not sure who to tell.

This person is guaranteed to hurt innocen users that are just trying to
solve problems.

It's not harmful advice. They may even have their name straight
margaret-mike.

OK, I suppose I deserved that. I'm posting tonight as Mike Labosh because I
am the son of Margaret Labosh, owner of the machine I just built for my
mother so she can get out of the dark ages and actually use a 32-bit version
of Windows. So I'm sort of logged on as her.

Apologies for the confusion,

Thank you so much. That solved all of my problems.

Are you retarded?

Whichever Labosh I'm replying to, the 'advice' is harmless - you cannot
format the Windows partition from within Windows so any newbie who tries it
won't trash their system (it doesn't mean 'carch' isn't any the less of a
moronic ****wit though).

It isn't dangerous advice. Windows won't let you format the boot or system
drive.

Report him to his ISP in regard to his attempts to corrupt users'
computers. From his headers:

NNTP-Posting-Host: adsl-68-77-52-47.dsl.emhril.ameritech.net 68.77.52.47

Ameritech.net is owned by SBC where Yahoo is managing those accounts.

Carch suffers Rett's syndrome (arrested brain development) so he won't
learn. Best is to cut off his access so he can spend his time rubbing
himself instead of us.

Carch is an annoyance only. The bogus "instructions" he/she provides
are completely harmless; they'll result only in an error message, as
WinXP is "too Smart" to allow the user to format the system partition
from withing the OS. Poor lil' Carch is far too ignorant to actually be
dangerous to anyone, except (if we're lucky) him/herself.

It isn't dangerous advice. Windows won't let you format the boot or

What if, Frank, the person assumed that just the instructions were wrong and
asked someone else how to "format c"? After all, the instructions were
received from a (responsible?) Microsoft newsgroup.
