OT Buying DIY home hardware online

Most here who are interested probably already know, but...
For the technically inclined, McMaster Carr (USA only I guess) is
the Newegg of home hardware (actually maybe better). All the specs
your little eyes can handle, including CAD drawings. The selection
is outrageously huge. I have placed small orders from them many
times with no problems so far, mostly aluminum flat bar and
tubing. Some prices are higher than you might find elsewhere, but
they are usually lower for the stuff you find at the local
megastore. Besides, you know precisely what you're getting. It's
kind of weird IMO, that you're better informed when ordering home
hardware online, but I guess that goes for computer hardware too.

Good luck and have fun.

If they don't have it, you don't need it. :)
