I have REALLY missed this forum.
I rode my bicycle (yeah, non-motorized) two blocks away to the gas station
to buy a pack of cigarettes. It was very late at night, and raining. On
the way back, as I was riding past their Diesel pumps, I either hit
something I couldn't see, or slipped on some wet leaves or possibly even a
fuel spill.
When I went down, I broke both Tibia and Fibula on my lower left leg. Then
a week in the hospital. My only comfort was that I had my MS-Press COM
Programming book.
So, after several weeks of pain killers and bed-rest, I now have a titanium
rod where my Tibia's bone marrow used to be, and now that I can use crutches
to get to my computer, -- it's been so long, a mouse feels strange in my
hand.
So I get to wear this cast for 5 months, and then after that, spend 5 more
months in physical therapy learning how to walk again.
Could there ever be a better argument to quit smoking!?
Aside from all the HR paperwork and corporate red-tape, I'm almost terrified
to find out what they did to my system in my absence.
So everyone get all your newbies to post here so I can feel better by
answering easy ones.
