OST / PST format mis-match (new thread)

Migrating from Outlook 2000 to Outlook 2003 as am now having to use MAPI to
access a new Exchange Server 2003 mailbox.

When I try to change my account 'deliver new email to the following
location' setting from my Exchange mailbox to my personal Folder I get the
following:
'The personal folders file (.pst) you selected does not match the format of
your offline folder file (.ost)...'.

I've tried uninstalling / re-installing Outlook 2003, but still get the
massage - even after deleting the .ost and .pst in an effort to force a
from-scratch install.

Any ideas - thank you.

The real question is, why do you want to deliver mail to a .pst file and thus lose many of the advantages of having an Exchange account?
