.OST needs recovery from an Outlook 2003 cache mode

I need to recover an .OST file from an Outlook 2003 cache mode. Does
anyone know how to accomplish this? I would like to convert this .OST file
into an .PST so I will be able to reimport into their mailbox on the server.

This is might work (worked on older versions)

* Make a copy of the OST that has the data you want to recover
* Create a new mail profile and connect to the new mailbox with a new OST
* Get at least 1 full synchronization
* Close all email enabled apps & Outlook
* Disconnect the network cable
* Replace new OST above with a copy of the one you need access to
* Start Outlook in offline mode
* Export the contents to PST
* Close Outlook
* Swap the OST files back

I did find a tool, but most of the discussion said that it will not work for
Outlook 2003.

The tool is called ost2pst.exe, the version that I have is OST2PST v2.1,
does anyone know if Microsoft is still producing this tool or not.

Will this version work for Outlook 2003 .ost files. Right now I am able to
view the .pst file but I haven't tried an import into a mailbox yet.

If you can view the PST in Outlook, there's no reason to import, Just
drag-and-drop.
