I wanted to know if you can load multiple os with xp
I got a new cpu with xp on it but I have some programs
that onl;y work with win 2000 or below....can I install
2000 on this cpu and use it as a secondary os just for
those programs and if so how?

No, you can't install ANY operating system on the "cpu". "CPU" stands for
"Central Processing Unit" which is the chip that actually does the
computing.
What you CAN do, is install multiple operating systems on your Hard Disk
Drive (HDD or HD for short).
The usual way is to wipe the disk clean and then to make two or more
partitions. The oldest OS (in this case W2K) is installed first. You then
install XP on the other partition.

Have you tried running them under XP? It's highly unlikely that a
program would work under 2000 and not XP. It may say 2000 or
below on the boxes simply because there was no XP yet when the
products were released.
